My video camera died and I decided to replace it with a Canon 7D. I was shooting a lot of sports and sports video, and the 7D, with an 18 MP APC-C sensor that shoots 8fps stills and 60 fps 720p or 24/30 fps 1080p video was an interesting option. I got the 70-200 f2.8L IS USM Zoom as a sports lens and started exploring it for close-up photography while I was killing time before the games.
